- 2 A transport company will take it to a trade auction, putting their costs on top.
- 3 The vehicle is sold at auction, with the auction house taking a cut.
- 4 Finally, the retailer sells the car to its new owner, taking a profit on top.
As you can see, this wouldn't leave much of a profit margin if the original buyer were to pay a reasonable price!
